Product Engineer - TypeScript

CopenhagenFull-time

TL;DR

  • We're rebuilding core accounting from scratch — AI-first, built for the Nordics, to save SMBs from manual bookkeeping.
  • Founded in 2024 by a team that scaled Pleo and Weld.
  • Pre-seed raised from top-tier investors, and we're growing fast — onboarding new SMBs every week.
  • We are heavy users of Claude Code and AI agents as a core part of how we build. You should too.
  • Looking for an entrepreneurial Product Engineer with 2–6 years of experience who ships real things.

Why Numina

Numina exists to help small business owners — by setting their accounting on Autopilot.

AI will be the biggest revolution to accounting since the invention of double-entry bookkeeping in 1494. Accounting is the source of truth for every business — and yet it still runs on click-through-the-invoice manual labor. For small businesses this creates a massive burden.

Numina is a full replacement for today's accounting platforms. Our core product, Numina Autopilot, takes over the day-to-day bookkeeping once it's learned how a business runs.

We're early. If you want to be one of the first engineers shaping a product, a stack, and a culture from scratch, keep reading.

The role

We're hiring a Product Engineer to ship features end-to-end across our stack. AI writes a lot of the code now — the hard part isn't writing the code; it's figuring out what's actually worth building, what "great" looks like, and how to get something real in front of a customer fast.

This is a role for builders who can take a customer problem from idea to production and enjoy the freedom to do so.

You'll work directly with the founders. You'll make architecture calls. You'll talk to users. You'll ship something every week that someone, somewhere, actually uses.

Who you are

  • 2–6 years of experience building real products. Not prototypes, not demos — software that real users use.
  • Strong full-stack TypeScript. Comfortable in React, Node.js, and Supabase / PostgreSQL.
  • Genuinely AI-native. You ship faster because of Claude Code (or Cursor, or Codex) — not because you've added them to your toolbar, but because they've changed how you work.
  • Product instincts. You notice when something feels clunky, even if it technically works. You have opinions about what great software feels like, and you act on them.
  • Ship over plan. You'd rather put something rough in front of a customer than spend another week perfecting it in isolation.
  • Entrepreneurial. Nobody is going to hand you a ticket queue. You'll help shape the problem, not just implement someone else's spec.

Bonus points

  • Experience in fintech, accounting, or SaaS.
  • You've built with LLMs in production.
  • Background in early-stage startups where everything was still being figured out.

Tech stack

Our product is written entirely in TypeScript using Node.js and Supabase on the backend and React on the frontend. Everyone here works across the full stack — you will too.
